Safeguarding
Please be aware that we work with the police on Operation Encompass.
Operation Encompass is a Police and Education early intervention safeguarding partnership which supports children and young people exposed to domestic abuse.
Operation Encompass is the reporting to schools before the start of the next school day when a child or young person has been involved or exposed to a domestic abuse incident the previous evening.
The information is given in strict confidence to a school’s Key Adult to enable support to be given dependent on the needs and wishes of the child.
We have strong links with our parents and actively encourage them to become involved with the education of their children and the life of the school. We aim to keep parents fully informed about their children’s education and have a belief in continuing to develop good lines of communication between home and school. We have an active parents group: The PSA [Packington School Association]: who meet on a regular basis to organise a wide variety of events to raise funds for school initiatives.
